This was my first time in Australia. I traveled with my friend Rose and her Son – and camped down at his place in Dee Why.
Her Son was a Pilot with Qantas and today was returning to Sydney as a normal passenger up the back with us. One of the hostess’s recognised him and offered the three of us a glass of bubbly from 1st class and thru him arranged for me to go up the front – yes this was in the days the passengers were allowed up the front in the cockpit. We were about 1 hour out of Sydney and we could see the sun setting in front of us.Two firsts that day – 1st time to Sydney and 1st time in the cockpit of a 747/400.
Caught up with my Kiwi friend Colin who was working in Sydney at the time.
I enjoyed this time – mostly spent on the North Shore/ Manly area with a day trip up to Palm Beach.
