Sydney, NSW

We are here for an AIM Conference. We have New Zealand, Australia and South Africa members and some Guests from USA and Canada.

During the conference – we were taken for a tour of the Sydney Opera House. There are two main areas – The Joan Sutherland Theatre and the Concert Hall.

In the Concert hall – we were given a toy musical instrument and asked to sit around the Pit. We were joined by four of the members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra with their conductor.

The next part was fun – the conductor taught us when to play our instruments and then we were ready to play.

The lights dimmed and then came back on and the conductor started to conduct us ( and the four Professional musicians). It took a while to realise that the conductor was now Dennis Itami, the co Owner of AIM international Inc. We were very lucky to be a part of this – because I believe only a few groups each year get to have this experience.

After the conference – we moved to a cheaper accommodation and spent three days exploring Sydney.
