Another AIM Conference visit. BUT very special because Leaders from every country that AIM is in were invited.
We had a small team from NZ – all Distributors in my downline. Our flight to Hawaii was via Sydney – yes I know this added another 6 + hours to our trip BUT it included 4 nights in Honolulu -at no extra cost to AIM. This mean we were able to have 2 nights before and after our conference in Honolulu.
We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach – right opp the famous International Markets.
Our conference ( or should I say conferences – we also had a mini conference just for NZ and Australian members) was on The Big Island. So off we go to Kona International Airport.
Now this is the Volcanic Island and on our bus ride to the Outrigger Waikoloa – all you saw was black lava until we got to our Hotel where there were trees and grass. From our room – we again saw only black lava but this time we watched men with machines breaking up the lava into small pieces. We were later told that this is what needed to be done to create the areas for Hotels etc. The soil was trucked in from the other side of this Island.
After our three days here – we are on the move again to our Main conference at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
As you can see – it is made up of four main buildings – The middle lower one is the conference halls and reception – the larger semi circular one on the right is the Lagoon Tower (where we stayed). The t shaped is the Palace Tower and the one to the left (just visible) is the Ocean Tower.
You are looking at 62 acres and with the three accommodation Towers so far apart – you may think we had a lot of walking to do. Yes and no. Between the three towers is a canal and tram service.
The Boats took 60 minutes to do a complete journey around the three Towers and the trams only a few minutes.
On the Saturday, which was a free day (Awards Dinner that night) we did a tour of the Island. This took us across the island to Hilo where we had lunch.
