Toronto 2nd time

city hall

As I said yesterday – slow start today.

Decided to go to the Markets and look around that area before meeting one of Ruth’s ex students for dinner tonight.

The day did not go well – it rained and our host lent me an umbrella

Off we go ,into the city on the street car. ( it was just down the road from our airbnb).

What I did not know that we would have to change streetcars three times before getting to the city. In jumping off number two – I forgot the umbrella – silly me. we finally got to the market only to find they where closed Sundays and Mondays – and today was Sunday. there was a few stalls on the street side but no food. We had a look around and then headed towards the Royal Ontario Museum – or the ROM.

We knew we did not have time to visit ROM today – so it was almost closing time when we got there – intime to meet Ruth’s friend.

They took us back into Dundas street to a seafood restaurant called the Red Lobster.

This restaurant was busy as – and we had a 30 minute wait. Boy was it worth the wait. Now I do not eat seafood but Ruth and her friends love it. So what did Bob eat? I had the most beautiful piece of Rainbow trout with some mashed potatoes and coleslaw.

You should have seen the spread the other three had. They were still going long after I had finished.

It was now quite late and they drove us home.
