Fuzhou

Last night it was the time for me to go outside and tackle the heat.

During the day it has been up to 38+  and even at night still over 30.

So our niece Zhiling and I set off about 7.00 pm to walk around the block – on the way we visited a Market – what we would call a supermarket but this was a bit different.

What surprised me was the wet fish and meat area. There was all kind of fish all laid out on ice, there were live fish in tanks and all the seafood you could think of. And Zhiling showed me this huge pile of chicken feet – and every type of meat part was on display. Next time I will take some photos.

Back home in 1 hour and 1 minute and 7000 steps. Good shower and time for bed.

I am now into a pattern that I hope I can keep up.

This morning I was up at 5.30 am and went for a walk along the river. This took me 1 hour and 6 minutes to do 7500 steps – so many people out walking at that time. I am going to do it each morning and try and better my time each day.

Tonight Ruth is taking me out so I may well get another 5,000 + steps in.

Over the next week or so, I will talk more about this beautiful city of Fuzhou.
