My bed was good last night – but walls and floors were a bit too thin – someone came in at 1.30 am and walked around their room for about 30 minutes in their high heels.
I did get back to sleep and was surprises when I looked at my watch to find it was 8.30 am.
Cleaned up and went for breakfast with Kerry and Gordon from Melbourne.
We had all booked a 2.00pm city tour so had a good look around the centre area – walking streets – shops did not open until 10.00 am but still found some interesting places – lots of leather shops.
Had a scary time when I was approached by a well dressed guy offering me tickets to a Tango show tonight. He took me along the street and into a seedy looking building to show me were it was. When we got inside a young girl invited me to sit and she would “explain” what it was all about. Well you can image – for Peso 50 I could watch a Tango dance but for Peso 120 I could have a private dance with a girl naked, (The girl not me) This all sounded great but when I said no thank you – I thought I was not going to get out – the girls suddenly started talking in Spanish and wanted me to pay them – even though was were just sitting . I told them that my friends would be looking for me and I had to go. I just got up and ran. Nice girls BUT… not me.
I was more careful after that and did not allow any of the street vendors to hand me anything.
Found the Galleria Pacifico – this was the most amazing Shopping Mall – they had done up an old building into many smaller shops – but all very up market expensive brands like Prada etc.
By now I was getting a bit hungry – so had a burger and chips. At least I knew what I was ordering – not much English spoken and my Spanish was not good enough.
